Kemaman Kopitiam

Kemaman Kopitiam
Jalan Beserah
25300 Kuantan
Pahang Darul Makmur
*
Today, Ive decided to be a food critic (part time only lah...) So, the gang decided to head off to Jalan Beserah. We were driving around surveying for a restaurant, but found none to our liking. "Where you want to makan?"... the usual answer..."..anywhere lah!". So we ended up in "anywhere lah!" Kemaman Kopitiam (KK), Jalan Beserah. Pls note that Kuantan has got 3 KK branches and this critic is over at their Jalan Beserah branch.
Mee Hoon Goreng Berlauk...where the heck is the lauk? You call sambal kerang lauk???!! Really pathetic....
Chicken Pasta...have you ever tasted pasta with our local papadam, acar timun and hard boiled eggs? It was tasteless and oily. The portion was not even enuff for a rat to eat....damn miserable.

Nasi Lemak Burung Puyuh....of all the dish that was served, this was the most presentable one. Served with ordinary nasi lemak, bull's eye egg, a pair of fried burung puyuh and the normal cucumbers, papadam and nuts.

Kopi Peng.....tasteless, too much ice.
*
The total cost for this miserable lunch was RM37-20....a little bit expensive for 'le miserables. The gang was pretty upset and vowed never to step in the kopitiam again.....*sigh*

One look, I thought the papadam were the pasta. This one is really east meet west dish lah. Maybe they should add in curry gravy to the pasta with a litte tempoyak! Tempoyak replacement for cheese and curry replacement for the tomato puree. Sure tasty! LOL
But seriously, if you add curry chicken to angel hair spagetti, the taste is good compare to if you use our local mee and more healthy too. Our local mee sometimes contain boric acid. The way to test whether our local mee have boric acid is to mix it with kunyit. It will turn bright red if boric acid is present! Very scary lah!

LOL... Calvin... I don't dare cook for you.Wait later food poisoning. I have my own lab rat to test my cooking on.*cackling*

Eh, Pete, really arr? Test it with turmeric and it will turn red? But how come arr, when I leave mix turmeric powder with chicken, and the leftover turmeric inside the bowl also turn red when I wash it away? Does this mean the chicken also got boric acid? Adeihh... my chemistry really sucks la!

...I hate coffee... can never take them without having a severe migraine afterwards. Clef is a tea person. LOL.

Calvin the kopitiam have a lot of branches? All different food quality? Same menu? Like our Stevens Corner in KL. Different branch, different quality. Some branch really 'mencekik darah'. Really not worth eating at some of their branch.

But then again, we can't expect much from a kopitiam. Most are just serving their purpose as a 'yumcha' place. I'm kinda pissed to think that these eating places earn like hell for just serving rubbish to their customers!

clef : ya....all three branches serves different menus. they not only mencekik darah, but meng-drilling our buttholes with their prices.lol.
