Christmas presents anyone???

IMG_3992

IMG_4064

Even the tua-tua me got presents.....this year's Christmas was expecially special for me coz' its my 1st Christmas with Rachel as my mrs. I got her these.......

IMG_3514

Occasionally, some stupid idiotic morons got me red hot pissed off. Every morning I would turn to Mix FM, faithfully listening to those two crazee DJ dudes JJ and Ian......they were asking their callers what presents they's received or want to receive. A lady called in and mentioned that wanted a Pussycat Dolls Concert DVD, instead she got a Tiffany's necklace from her bf. Naturally, any lady would be hysterical...err maybe not hysterical, but obliviously happy having received something from Tiffany's, especially from a loved one. So JJ said a big wow!! Of course a necklace is something much better than a freakin DVD. But that kerazee lady said it was a bit too much coz this shows that her bf is ready for a commitment but she is not. So shocked JJ and Ian when bonkers and asked if she would want to give the necklace back to her bf.....her answer...."No, I would keep the necklace and break off with him." What the.........*tut tut tut*.
*
How can the *tut tut tut* do such a horrible thing to her bf....and it was live on radio. And MixFM is still airing it every now and then. So, to you the *tut tut tut* lady caller, if you so happen read this post, I'd just like to say *tut tut tut* and *tut tut tut* to you. (Gosh!! I really have to go confess after this post.) If I were in your bf's shoes, I'd already smacked you in the head and I would have dumped you already.....even if you were joking. If you are not ready for a commitment, it should be made known from the start, and not after receiving an expensive gift. Let me share this just for all my readers to ponder upon......"

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away" 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Food extravaganza on COH nite (Celebration of Hope)

Phew!!! A week long of eating and singing carols really did make me dizzy a lil bit. With all the hustle and bustle, running up and down between houses and church, preparing songs for carols and such, alas!! I am able to share some of this week's happenings thru my pictures.

These was taken during our Celebration of Hope nite cum party. We were spoilt for choice. There were tonnes of food served. There were of course ol faithful 7kg turkey, 2 lamb legs, several home made pizzas (which has simply delicious!!), mom made shepherds pie, greek salad, mashed potato (Americano stylo!!), broccoli with cheese and lots more.....so much that I didnt had the time to snap as I was busy stuffing myself to the brim.

Back in Kemaman....

We headed back to Kemaman last Sunday, since Monday was Rachel's day off. The next morning, we planned to have our breakfast at one of Kemaman's famous curry fish mee shops located at Jalan Jakar. But much to our dissappointment, the shop was closed because of the "Go Tung" festival. So we ended up in Kemaman Station Kopitiam, located at Taman Chukai Utama. The name of the shop said it all....it is a kopitiam. But it turned out better than I expected. The ambience was comfy and the food was good. Presentation wise.....i'd give them a thumbs up. The price was reasonable too. I'll let my pictures do the talking and I'll shut my gap....

Huh??

Rachel enjoying her "cham-peng"

Kemaman Station Kopitiam menu

The menu (they should've upgraded their menu presentation a lil bit).

Nasi lemak

Their nasi lemak was combined with chicken curry. You can smell the strong pandan aroma from the rice. The sambal was also quite strong but blends well with the dish.

Curry chicken

The chicken curry was thick and yummy

Curry mee

Rachel ordered their curry mee. "Not bad" Rachel eating heartily... :)

Wholemeal bread with butter and kaya

Their wholemeal bread was baked from their very own oven and combines well with butter and self made kaya.

Kampung half boiled eggs

.....and seriously, this was one of the best half boiled kampung eggs I've ever tasted, though it's quite pricey. The eggs itself cost me RM4 bucks. In total, my bill came up to RM14.50, which I think is quite reasonable as compared to the ones I had in Kuantan.

When Asians wannabe Caucasians

Got this from Rachel last week. Ever wondered how your names would confuse someone. Here's an example :-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caller : Can I speak to Annie Wan (anyone)
Operator : Yes, you can speak to me.
Caller : No. I want to speak to Annie Wan.
Operator : You're talking to someone. Who is this??
Caller : I'm Sam Wan (someone). And I need to talk to Annie Wan. It's urgent!!
Operator : I know you're someone and you want to talk to anyone. But what's this urgent matter about?
Caller : Well...just tell my sister Annie Wan, that our brother Noel Wan (no one) was involved in an accident. Noel Wan got injured is Noel Wan is being sent to the hospital. Right now, Avery Wan (everyone) is on his way to the hospital.
Operator : Look. If no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital, then the accident isnt an urgent matter. You may find this hilarious but I certainly have no time for this!!!
Caller : You are so rude!! Who are you??
Operator : I am Saw Lee (sorry)
Caller : Yeah, you should be sorry. Now give me your FREAKIN name!!!
Shopping and now....I'm practically broke!!!
I am back from KL....yeahoo!!!!!
*
I was in KL from Thursday till Saturday last week, and officially broke having spent almost RM4K on food, clothings and unneccessary stuff. We stayed in The Legend Hotel, Jalan Duta (beside the Mall). My bro in law was kind enuff to give me a 75% discount voucher from his membership, but I still had to fork out RM172-50 for the night's stay. The Legend Hotel was kinda weird. Their parking bay is located on levels 5-8, whilst their lobby is at level 9. The services rendered by the hotel's staff was ok though. Needless to say that shopping in the Mall was crappy. There were hardly any patrons. I was wondering how on earth could the shops survive this long.
*
The Legend Hotel is supposedly a 5 star hotel, but the rooms were a tad boring. There were normal amenities but wi-fi was not included. Their sofa was suprisingly comfy. We offered mom a bed to herself (although she volunteered to sleep on the sofa, what kinda son would allow his mom to sleep on the couch??) and I shared with Rachel. Luckily the beds were super single, otherwise I would find myself kicked over by Rach....hahaha
The room was kinda long.............
Shopping for day 1 was at Midvalley Megamall. We had our late lunch (about 2.30pm) at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack. Rach had the Oyster Mi Sua...as always. Mom and I had their Crispy Chicken Ricebox Set. We also ordered their Crispy Chicken Floss as a side dish.
Oyster Mi Sua
Crispy Chicken Floss
Crispy Chicken Ricebox Set.
I managed to take some snapshots of Midvalley's Christmas decorations.
I did not take much photos as my camera bag was giving me some shoulder sore. Rachel advised me to take only one lens but clever me took the whole lot and I ended up carrying a load of 2kg. It wasn't heavy at first but after wlaking around with shopping bags, even a mule would drop down dead. We took the KTM from Midvalley to KL Central/KLCC in the evening. Ate there and took a cab back to the hotel.
*
We headed over to Sunway the next day...had Haagen Dazs.
......................more crappy pictures to come.
IKEA in Kuantan??....sure or not!!
It's Sunday.....I was supposed to send Rachel back to Kemaman after work. But since tomorrow is a holiday, we decided to go back only in the morning. We had a visitor as well.....Abigail will be spending the night in our house. And I decided to bring IKEA into my house. I am pretty much sure that most of the patrons in IKEA would have had tasted their famous beef meatballs. I would never leave IKEA without having some for lunch. Having bought their lingonberry jam previously, I decided to create my very own beef meatballs.
Abigail......
Crinkle cuts
Beef meatballs....you can purchase these in any supermarkets
Lingonberry less sugar jam.......super duper yummy, even with bread.
I was actually looking for mushroom gravy but ended up buying chicken instead...no stock liao.
The result.....yummy, not as good as IKEA's though.
*
And here's some of the decos in my house...
Skinny Santa...
Angels candle holders....preprinted on their tummies, LOVE, HOPE, PEACE, JOY....
Mistletoe
Reindeers....
Christmas tree decos
and finally have a very "Merry....
....Christmas. :)
