My belated Valentine's pressie for Rachel......

Louis Vuitton.........seems like everywhere I go, I'm bound to see some lady (even aunties) carrying an LV bag. And they seem to like one particular make that is the large brown one with LV written all over. To be precise the model is the Neverfull Monogram GM or MM. I think it costs somewhere around RM3K, if I'm not mistaken. So, where's the exclusitivity. You can even get an imitation for under RM500....AAA grade, made in Hongkong. Experts say that they can detect these frauds by just looking at the zipper. With so many same LV designer bags in the market, I decided not to get one for Rachel this Valentine.
*
Like any other women, Rachel dreamt of having a Louis Vuitton bag in her closet....but I decided to go against it. And with the current economic situation, Rachel dared not ask for such an expensive gift. She did mention about Coach bags though. Rachel's current colleagues....who are LV loyal fans and bitches btw (for some other reason), took the liberty to call Coach KL in Pavillion to check out the price for one particular model. Rachel came back that evening, looking gloomy. I asked why, she kept quiet. I tried to "korek" for some info, and like always I won. She told me that she wanted to have a Coach bag but dared not ask me for it. Rachel had always been careful with her spending, unlike me. And since I've *ahem* invested quite a lot in photography, it is only fair for me to spend some of my fortune with my beloved wife. So, I planned a trip down to KL to get her belated Valentine present. Words cannnot describe the look on Rachel's face when I agreed to buy her the bag. She was just so happy......and as her husband, making her happy just makes my day.

Rachel was smiling from cheek to cheek :)

A close up shot of the make. I think the model is Coach Heritage Stripe Collection....cost? RM750.00

another shot of the bag.....and I'm still sweating btw

...our KL trip will not be complete without my photography sessions. This lil silver painted man was spotted in Bukit Bintang, right in front of Maybank. Many photography enthusiasts were snapping away. Some didnt offer tips though. I did.... :P

A close up shot of that lil fler.

This was taken from my hotel room. I couldnt get to the roof top so I pressed my lens to the window to avoid camera shake and my hotel room reflection. I was suprised it turned out ok. :)

A B&W version of the shot.

I can never tell if a bag is original or imitation. All I care is whether I can stuff my things inside or not. LOL...but, nice bag. And Rachel smile like a Cheshire cat! o.O

RM750???

That day I went to coach shop, it was SGD$303 if i m not mistaken. But I m very sure it is more than $300.

$300 x 2.4 = RM720.00

Conclusion: Buy in SG or in MY is the same. But it is safer to buy SG. why? At least not that much of snatch thieves, if u buy in Malaysia, it is easier to be eyed on.

=.= how true, Jo... buy in sg is a lot safer than buy in Malaysia. In Malaysia, snatch thieves do their stuff like nobody's business!

You can see LV everywhere! I never like LV!

Coach is pretty alright. Among those branded bags, I believe Coach is the more affordable choice. Really pretty bag! And Rachel is so happy lol :D

It's always nice to see someone happy when your 'effort' paid off. It gives you butterfly in the stomach.

clef, a cheshire cat....hahaha. ive got to tell her tonight. :)

renaye, too much pampering also cannot. must have limits for this, else she'll go requesting other expensive stuff :P

jo, i think snatch thieves usually target easy targets. for eg....you only swing the bag on your arm instead of shoulder, swinging your bag back and forth to show off the expensive bag etc...they're just everywhere. we have to be vigilant at all times no matter where we are. and that goes for us men too :)

eugene, after this, id have to eat much less to cover the credit card bill....hahahaha. hermes is a good brand too, but the price are usually overrated.

stp, it was not me trying to escape buying her a present. i asked what she wanted, but she got no idea. :P the bag ori one ler....bought direct from coach's boutique in pavillion. good thing no cheap, cheap thing no good....my motto.....lol

celine, you're one of a kind. most women would love to get a hold of an LV bag. but the price is overrated. coach's price is quite decent. quality is also good, but the best is the service given to me by their sales people. LV employees are usually so stuck up, their nose higher than klcc...hehehe

chong, yeah!!! goose bumps added to that. :)

jason, not rich lar.....i spend from my tears, blood and sweat ler. now, id have to ikat my perut liao :P

vertigo, you're still a teenager rite?? if im not mistaken. wait till you have a girlfried who wants everything branded. baru tau!! by that time, every luxury item has its own abbreviation....lol

shinky, only at a certain point in life la....i still believe, one cannot buy happiness with money and wealth, but by our actions. if you love someone, say you love him/her...and sometimes, adding a stuff or two would be nice :)

lisa, you can give click with celine. :P neways, i trust my wife is happy not just for gifts (i hope)... :) love cannot be measured by money, wealth and branded goods. but having those would be an added advantage, gives one a sense of security for the future.

=.= I hate Lv bags...If i were to be given an LV bag, I would probably return it to the store and ask for refund. So ugly and so many people using LV, what is theer to like? I have no idea why women pines on em so much. ( Now I really suspect I'm a man in my past life) So I guess, I'm pretty much in Celine's group.

Branded bags... =.= Bonia is not bad. Clarks too!

clef, i was in the groupie for such a freakin long time. :P

reana, it's not always i buy such an expensive stuff for rachel. and yes, i bite my lips. all blue black d. :) i think almost everyone can afford to buy one, it's a matter of want or not. but i dont see buying it as a neccessity. better jimat now else next time we makan sand only..hehe

raynebow, lucky her, poor me...lol

fufu, i think he is still there. the crowd in bb is rather huge at night. so, better income.

annant, expensive stuff not important lar. makan more important. it's only for one occasion i bought it for her, coz she really dont spend any money at all on herself.

chris, small one cheaper. but i guess, the ones overseas are very much cheaper. summore got tax relief. since you'll be flying everywhere, you can buy it ler... :)

rachel, its not always i buy you stuff hor.....but this does not mean we can spend everything on luxurious items. one time enough ok :) love you much..... XOXOXOXO

Wow! Very nice of you to get a good present for your wife. I think RM750 is worth it.

LV is a top brand - not everyone like it, I don't care about it, and I will definitely not buy it! : )
