It's one of a helluva foodie job!!

This was one experience I would not forget. The gang and I were invited to take snaps of foodies by S-Tro Restaurant. Our payment was to eat all that we have snapped. And it was a one of our so-called hazard working for a restaurant....lolz. Neways, the food was delicious. There were about 20 types of dishes and we only managed to gobble up less than a quarter of 'em. And this was only week 1. Altogether, I reckon they have around 50-60 types of dishes. So, we've got to buckle up our belts this weekend for next. Here are some of my takes. Enjoy.... :)

New Horizon Garden Restaurant, Kuantan

The bank had an appreciation dinner tonight for last year's achievements, and yours truly was invited to fill his half filled stomach.....half filled tummy coz I had kopi-o about an hour before dinner. So, merrily the groupie hopped over to New Horizon Garden Restaurant located at Sri Dagangan 2 opposite Berjaya Megamall. And of course, being an addict to photography, I would not miss the chance to shoot at the delicious foodies.

The spread......

IMG_9069

Hot plate toufu....a lil bland. Some of the toufu were halved and presentation was on a downside. But generally okay.

IMG_9068

Fried garoupa with sweet and sour sauce....personally, one of my favourite. But it could do with a lil bit more meat

IMG_9066

Lemon Chicken.....so-so.

IMG_9065

I love their clear thomyam seafood soup. But since the food were presented at the same time, it turned cold. It was good, but not great.

IMG_9064

Fried kailan with garlic.....like every other fried kailan.

IMG_9057

Fried prawns....we could do with bigger prawns.

IMG_9056

Fried squids with dried chilis.....these were good. I had most of the helpings, like I always do :)
*
What I like about this place is for one, it is halal......so you can bring over your Muslim friends over. Secondly, they also have dinner sets like Pizza Hut do :-
*
Set A (servings for 2-3 pax)
4 dishes + Rice + Chinese Tea + Mixed Fruit @ RM57 nett
*
Set B (servings for 4-6 pax)
5 dishes + Rice + Chinese Tea + Mixed Fruit @ RM87 nett
*
Set C (servings for 7-9 pax)
6 dishes + Rice + Chinese Tea + Mixed Fruit @ RM137 nett
*
Set D (servings for 10-12 pax)
7 dishes + Rice + Chinese Tea + Mixed Fruit @ RM187 nett
*
The groupie had additional Kopi-O after dinner at Kemaman Kopitiam and we headed home filled to the brim......*burrrrppppppp!!!*

Foodie test....Crocodile Rock, Kuantan

Since its TGIF......and we do not have a Friday's restaurant in Kuantan, Rachel and I decided to head on to Crocodile Rock Restaurant located along Jalan Teluk Sisek, heading to Kuantan's beach spot Teluk Chempedak. Croc Rock is actually a bungalow turned restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy, very much like your own house, with a room filled with music instruments for you to play while awaiting your foodies, which was absolutely delicious. Enough said and let these pictures say for themselves.....

IMG_8875

The menu

IMG_8886

My Sling Fizz @ RM8-50

IMG_8887

Rachel's Mint Paradise also @ RM8-50

IMG_8891

Caesar Salad @ RM10-50

IMG_8892

Garlic bread @ RM4-00

IMG_8893

We simply adore this Mushroom Soup @ RM6-50

IMG_8905

Rachel had this Tenderloin Steak made to perfection @ RM49-00

IMG_8906

....while I stuff myself with a Sirloin Steak @ RM33-00

IMG_8909

and for dessert, we had Banana Pizza @ 18-00. It sure looked funny but tastes simply delicious. They've added honey, condensed milk, chocolate syrup, cream and of course lotsa lotsa banana. Yummy!!

IMG_8919

The total bill came up to RM147-00 including tax, a lil bit expensive for the local's to pay, but it is definitely worth it. Sure to visit them again....but not too soon :)

New sports rim and foodie galore

My 2 year old Iswara was calling out to me.......buy me 2 pairs of new slippers!!!! And I gave in. Last Monday, I took the opportunity to visit the tyre shop adjacent to my house, only to do some alignment and balancing on my car tyres (they're original ones btw). As I was wondering around the shop, just glancing thru the array of sports rims sold there, this particular black red 15"one was the one standing out. And so, I called the owner over just to check out the price, not knowing that I was jinxed into buying one. He calculated and calculated and alas gave me a price. RM1,100-00 plus 4 new Dunlop tyres 195/60 for comfort. The price includes balancing and alignment. Without even thinking twice, I said "Sitou!!! Kasi tukar sama dia!!" And lo and behold, my gorgeous sports rim. The black colour rims compliments my black car body. And since its black, I would be able to save time by not washing them often....hehehehe.

Kopi anybody??

This week has been harvardous....methaphorically speaking. I was busy with work and my Celcom broadband wasn't functioning as it always have. It turned out that the blardy modem went kaputt and I had to search hi and low for the warranty card, since it has not been a year old. Anyways, Zarni and I went marketing to Kemaman and Kerteh last Thursday. I got the chance to test drive his Latio on the way back (got it after his car got stolen).....and to sum up, the car was excellent. A lil shaky when speeding, but generally....ok. Back to subject in mind. As earlier mentioned, both of us went ponteng-ing to Kemaman and we stopped by the feh-mus Hai Peng Kopitiam for breakfast. We didnt had much for breakfast, just sipping our Kopi-O and Zarni had their Nasi Dagang. Some shots of the site :-

The former small Hai Peng is now a Sdn Bhd....

................this is the taukeh. :)

For lunch, we met up with Kemaman's Assistant Br Manager and hanged out at a simple but nice restaurant at the bus station, called Restoran Bas Station......like duh!! What else would you name the place if not for the place itself. They had various kind of Malay dishes, but their specialty is Sup Tulang. We had those for lunch.

IMG_7749

IMG_7747
....the must have Sup Tulang

Zarni giving a thumbs up

......and by the way, in appreciation to my loyal readers and commentors, I would like to give away some items as a token of gratitude for sticking with my blabbering these past few months. And yes, I'm copying Kikey coz I have no idea, and I have a low IQ, and I have stomach ache now.....*shitty*. Alrighty then, for the 1st 5, pls leave your home addresses in my mail and await your gifts.....Ciao!!
